President’s Message

Ah, yes… December, that time of year when the steady simmer of autumn’s pace becomes a frantic, rolling boil and you think your head may just blow off! No matter how well you planned, ordered in advanced, laid in inventory and hired extra help, there never seems to be enough time to finish up. For some, the when is Christmas itself; for others, when is whenever Old Man Winter says it is. Regardless of when, we always manage to get to the finish line and say goodbye to another year. I hope 2018 treated you well.

December is always a great time to look back on the year that’s behind us and thank everyone who has played a part in its success. Take the time to say thank you to employees, clients and friends and family who put up with us going through rough patches during the year. And don’t forget your vendors and the delivery people that bring those awfully heavy boxes stuffed with lighting equipment! The list goes on…

It’s also the perfect time for your favorite lighting association to thank you, our members, for continuing to support and be a part of all that we are trying to do for our little niche industry. This is the perfect time to send you warm greetings during this holiday season and heartfelt wishes for a healthy and prosperous new year.
